Ventura Village Board of Directors Meeting

The meeting was called to order at 6:08pm by Chair Melanie Majors

Present: Elizabeth Ihde, Ray Peterson, Melanie Majors, Thor Adam, Michelle Benson, Steve Dreyer

Excused: Patti Peterson

Unexcused: Josiah Hanka, Kathy Mishow, Amanda Martin

Motion: (R. Peterson/Dreyer) To approve the agenda for the December 14, 2022 meeting. Passed

Motion: (Dreyer/Adam) To approve the minutes for the November 9, 2022 meeting. Passed

Motion: (R. Peterson/Adam) Recommendation 2212-1: Move to amend the bylaws Proposed amendments are available on our website at venturavillage.org, Call or email us if you need a printed copy. Passed

Motion: (Ihde/R. Peterson) Recommendation 2212-2: Move that at the December 2022 Membership Meeting Ventura Village will accept nominations from the floor for Board Members, those Board nominees will be voted on at the January Membership Meeting. Passed

Motion: (Adam/Dreyer) Receive and file the financial report. Passed

Ventura Village General Membership Meeting

The meeting was called to order at 7:10pm by Chair Melanie Majors
Those present at the meeting introduced themselves. Throughout the meeting 10 members attended.


Motion: (Watson/Benson) Approval of the December 14, 2022 proposed agenda. Passed (10 yes/0 no/0 abstain)


Motion: (Watson/Benson) Approval of the November 9, 2022 minutes. Passed (9 yes/0 no/1 abstain)


Motion: (Ihde/Watson) Election of Vacancies for Board of Directors
Nominees: Steve Dreyer, Elizabeth Ihde, Marti Maltby, Rico Morales, LaQuadra Neal, Patti Peterson
LaQuadra Neal declined to run. The others were voted on as a slate. Passed (10 yes/0 no/0 abstain)


Motion: (R. Peterson/Adam) Recommendation 2212-1: Move to amend the bylaws
